White-label, for accounting firms Rate card on request

Wholesale bookkeeping under your brand, below the retail bands above. Quoted per firm - the rate depends on volume and how much review your team does. No minimum.

Partner detail

USD, fixed in writing and unchanged unless the scope changes. Quoted rather than listed: white-label rates, and catch-up from $0.50 per backlog transaction.

Method

3 ways we price, and why each one fits

Different work carries different risk. Pricing it all the same way would mean overcharging for some of it and doing the rest badly.

Model 1

Complexity retainer

Ongoing advisory has no end date, so we price difficulty. Multi-payer revenue costs more to run than a single product line - that is the tier.

Used for: CFO, controller, bookkeeping
Model 2

Capacity block

Sometimes you need hands rather than judgment. A named analyst for a set number of hours a month, from $35 an hour, discounted as the block grows.

Used for: analyst hours
Model 3

Fixed fee

A defined deliverable with a defined end: a model, deck, plan, valuation or quality of earnings report. If it takes longer than expected, that is our risk.

Used for: models, decks, plans and reports
Position

What we will not do, and what you get instead

Most of these are industry norms. We think each one puts the advisor's interest in front of the client's, so we price around them.

We never
Bill advisory by the hourAn hourly advisor is paid more for working slowly, and you cannot budget for it.
Take a percentage of a transactionA fee that rises with the deal size is a reason to want the deal rather than to test it.
Make a valuation fee contingentA valuer paid more for a higher number is not a valuer.
Charge success fees on a raiseWe are not a broker-dealer and we do not place capital or take a cut of it.
Instead
A number before you commitScope, deliverables and fee in writing within 24 hours of the first call.
A fee that does not moveFixed before work begins, and unchanged unless you change the scope in writing.
Findings you may not likeBecause nothing about our fee depends on the answer being convenient.
An honest noIf an engagement does not need to exist, we would rather say so than sell it.

Agreed up front

The scope letter comes before the work

One page: what is included, what it costs, when it lands. Signed before anyone starts.

The awkward questions

The questions people ask after the call

If a price here does not make sense for you, we are probably the wrong size of firm for it.

Why are you more expensive than a freelance bookkeeper?

A partner reviews the file. If you only need transactions coded, a freelancer is the right call.

Why are you cheaper than the firm we quoted last week?

2 partners and a small team: no hierarchy to fund, no hourly meter. What we lack is audit sign-off.

We are pre-revenue with $40k in the bank. Is this for us?

Probably not. One model at $1,250 is usually the whole answer at that stage.

We are a 50-person company with a finance team. Is this for us?

Often, yes. At that size the one-off work usually matters most: a valuation, a QoE report or a model rebuild.

Where to start

If you begin with one engagement

Most companies do not need everything at once, and commissioning in the wrong order wastes money.
